The results of the 29th FIAP Biennial are in. Thank you so much to those of you who sent me images so I could enter on behalf of the WPF.
The 29th Colour Print Biennial was won by PAGB. The WPF finished 13th from 36 countries.
The 29th Colour Projected Biennial was won by Russia with PAGB 22nd and the WPF 24th from 36 countries.
The two themes we chose were ‘Olympic Sports’ and ‘Light in the Landscape’. I am thrilled to say that Glen Porter of Gwynfa CC received a Silver medal in the sport section (prints). Congratulations Glen, a great achievement in a worldwide event. Here are the results.

I was a little disappointed with our Landscape results, as I thought they deserved more but that’s the way it goes. I’ll be looking for some Mono images later in the year when we have decided on our two themes.
Once again, I would like to thank everyone who sent me images. Without you we wouldn’t have been able to enter. Well done each and every one of you.
Jenny Hibbert (WPF President).
Below are the Results for the Open and Nature 2021 Inter Federation Competition.

Huge congratulations to Gwynfryn Jones of Gwynfa CC who received an acceptance in the 2021 the Master of Print competition with his print “Social Distancing”, see below.
We believe Gwynfryn to be the only successful WPF entrant this year. It is his third acceptance in three years in a competition limited to only 60 acceptances. Well done indeed.
Camera clubs and societies have made the decision to cancel their club meetings in an attempt to reduce the risk of infection of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). To support clubs and societies during this difficult time we have decided to relax the terms of business for the PAGB RLS and allow the distribution of recorded lectures to members within their respective club or society.
Clubs and societies are asked to adhere to the following conditions:
The PAGB Executive has reviewed and agreed changes to the General Conditions for all events, the Monochrome definition and the Nature definition have changed and new rules have been introduced for ‘out of area’ members.
The PAGB Executive has reviewed and agreed changes to the General Conditions for all events, the Monochrome definition and the Nature definition have changed and new rules have been introduced for ‘out of area’ members.
The rules for each event and the guidance on image repetition have been updated to match the changes. The object is to make compliance by entrant federations and clubs and photographers easier to understand, and so reduce problems arising between entrants and event organisers.
See the individual documents via the competitions page or by viewing them in the links below.
General Conditions (for all events)
PAGB (FIAP) Monochrome Definition (for some events).
PAGB Nature Definition (for some events).
Guidance about Image Repetition in Events (for all events).
There are also new rules for ‘Out of Area Photographers‘. For the PAGB Events with Club Entrants (Print Championship, Projected Digital Images Championship, GB Trophies, GB Cups), a Club may not enter the work of more than one Photographer who resides more than thirty miles outside the boundaries of the Club’s Federation. See the ‘General Conditions’ here.
Welsh photographers have achieved good results in the New Year Circuit in Serbia. PSA Member Neville Thomas had 16 acceptances and won a Bronze Medal and an HM. Ian Ledgard had 7 acceptances and was also awarded an HM.
Three other Welsh based photographers also had successes and might perhaps consider seeking PSA recognition of their achievements John Bell and Matthew Jones both collected 16 acceptances and Anthony Baggett 8. How about it folks?

After the recent success of our Tenby duo, Gillian & Charlie, YOU could be the next WPF photographer to gain a PAGB distinction and have CPAGB, DPAGB or MPAGB after your name!
Gillian Mackay and Charlie Kidd, both of Tenby & District Camera Club, attained their DPAGB distinctions on the PAGB APM day at Watford last Sunday.
