Charity Art Auction

The Worshipful Livery Company of Wales (WLCOW) supports education, the arts, science and technology in Wales, and is dedicated to helping young people throughout Wales to develop their talents and skills by means of an annual Awards programme of scholarships and bursaries to students in schools, universities and technical colleges, as well as to apprentices and young people in the armed forces. This year 2022 they awarded an artist bursary to an MFA student from Swansea.

In 2021 WLCOW collaborated with Disability Art Cymru and V21 to hold an art auction at Sbectrwm Centre Fairwater Community Centre Cardiff.

Many renowned artists and photographers donated their work (and time David Hurn) to the auction and other work was donated by WLCOW members and friends.  It was a great success raising much needed funds for all 3 charities.

Following the success last year of the art auction, another art auction is to be held in Sbectrwm Centre Fairwater Community Centre Cardiff on Friday, September 23rd 2022 starting at 6.30pm with a champagne reception and canapés.

The auction will be available on line to bid before the day of the auction and telephone bids will be accepted during the auction.

The funds raised will once again be divided between the charities involved to support young people in Wales to develop their talents in education, the arts, science and technology.

If you are interested in donating any photographic works of art you have done, please contact the WLCOW Auction organiser Dr Jane Croad on 07970 666353 or who will collect the work from you.
