Individual awards for WPF members at 2014 PAGB Cup
At the recent PAGB Cup, four WPF members received individual recognition. Congratulations to them all.
In the open competition:
Best Imaginative – Mystery at Manor House by Matthew Jones of Ebbw Vale Camera Club
Best Humour – The Irony Of Ironing by Ian Munro of Inn Focus Group
Chairman’s Award – King of the Islands by Coltrane Koh of Inn Focus Group
In the small clubs competition:
Best Landscape – Winter Tarn by Alan Jenkinson of Bridgend
Rhondda finish 4th in the 2014 PAGB Cup for small clubs
Very well done to Rhondda who were top Welsh club in the recent PAGB Cup for small clubs. Welsh scores (both WPF and NWPA) were:

*** Note, Bridgend were docked points and demoted to 42nd due to a member entering the same photograph at two clubs. We do not know how many points they were docked.

WPF clubs feature in the 2014 PAGB Cup.
Welsh clubs placed very well among the 110 clubs that entered the 2014 PAGB Cup (Open section for large clubs). Inn Focus Group finished a creditable 5th and Gwynfa were 9th from the 100 biggest clubs in the UK.
The four Welsh clubs who entered this competition achieved the following scores:
Inn Focus Group 175 5th
Gwynfa Camera Club 168 9th ***
Ebbw Vale Camera Club 164 16th=
Cardiff Camera Club 151 48th=
Top club was Wigan 10 with 186 points. Full results here.
*** Please note, Gwynfa were later docked 11 points and dropped to 29th place due to a member entering the same photograph to two different clubs.

2014 PAGB Cup for Nature Results
Welsh clubs didn’t feature too highly among the 94 clubs that entered the 2014 PAGB Cup for Nature achieving the following scores for their 10 best photos:

WPF Finish Second in 2014 PAGB Nature Competition
Following a revision to the result caused by an ineligible image being entered by mistake, the WPF finished second to the Midland Counties Photographic Federation in the Annual Inter-Federation Nature PDI competition. Well done to everyone who had an image selected. We shall eandeavour to get hold of the full scores…
Ian Gets Bronze
MFIAP for Mervyn
At Pixels 2103 Jan Cawley, President of the WPF, also presented Mervyn Pugh with his MFIAP Certificate. It is the first MFIAP ever to be awarded in the Welsh Photographic Federation. A slideshow of Mervyn’s MFIAP panel can be seen here.
Inn Focus Finish Second at Connah’s Quay 2013
Smethwick won the National Print Championships at Connahs Quay. Joint second, one point behind, were Inn Focus, Wigan 10 and Dumfries.
