Tired Old Scams Abound Yet Again
Various email scams seem to be doing the rounds again. They aren’t very sophisticated but some of you may not have seen them and be tempted to comply.
The emails will appear to come from someone you know, perhaps a fellow club member or someone from the WPF. (Note, those people haven’t been hacked. It is just someone emailing you from a random email address and changing it to make it look like it comes from the person you know).
If you reply, you’ll get a message something like the one shown below. This is a copy of an actual message received by a member of a Camera Club.

Monmouth PC Print Exhibition
Monmouth Photographic Club will be having an exhibition of members’ prints at Monmouth Community Hub and Library, The Rolls Hall, Whitecross st, Monmouth NP25 3BY. The exhibition runs from 18th April to 23rd May 2026.
Exhibition for Aberystwyth’s Tony Hicklin
On Saturday 1st August Aberystwyth Camera Club will be holding an exhibition of the work of Tony Hicklin, their President and dear friend, who has passed away recently. Prints will be on sale and, due to the generosity of local businesses, there will also be some fabulous raffle prizes. Every penny raised will go to the Stroke Association.

PAGB APM November 2026 Adjudication – Saturday 28 & Sunday 29 November 2026.
The weekend in Colchester has been rearranged and the Distinction Projected Digital Image section will be adjudicated on the Saturday. The spaces available are:
Saturday Adjudication: 3 Badge applications & 13 Credit applications
Sunday Adjudication: 13 Distinction/Excellence applications and around 5 Master applications
