PAGB APM November 2026 Adjudication

PAGB APM November 2026 Adjudication – Saturday 28 & Sunday 29 November 2026.

The weekend in Colchester has been rearranged and the Distinction Projected Digital Image section will be adjudicated on the Saturday. The spaces available are:

Saturday Adjudication: 3 Badge applications & 13 Credit applications

Sunday Adjudication: 13 Distinction/Excellence applications and around 5 Master applications

PAGB Print Championship – New Venue

The 2026 PAGB Inter-Club Print Championship will be held on Saturday 24 October 2026 and it will have a new venue at Harper Adams University in Newport, Shropshire. We will be using the Weston Lecture Theatre.

The venue offers free parking and free WiFi. Tea, coffee and sandwiches will be available in a coffee bar about 5 minutes’ walk from the theatre. Also, lunch boxes can also be provided if ordered in advance.

Watch for more information in e-news nearer the time, including ticket arrangements.

Edinburgh International Open for Entry

The 162nd Edinburgh International Salon is open for entry. It is one of the most highly regarded photographic exhibitions in the UK and one of the few print-only international salons in the world. Each year, the exhibition attracts thousands of entries from photographers across the globe, drawn by its long history, high standards and distinctive focus on the printed image.

There are no genre restrictions, and entrants may submit up to four colour and four monochrome prints. All images must originate as original captures by light made by the entrant. The rules and all other details can be found here.

PSA Story of an Image

South Stack Lighthouse, Anglesey by Rhodri Phillips

The Image:  I had visited the island before Covid, but it being North Wales was met with thick drizzle and fog. Ironically, I could hardly see the lighthouse. It had always been my intention to go back and this July I managed to get there, with sun and no rain! The only issue being the 40mph winds whipping across the headland, sending all but the foolhardy into the warmth of the cafe.

I went as close to the edge of the cliff as I dared to try and get some foreground in to give more depth to the image. The gleaming white of the lighthouse contrasted well with the greens of the headland and shades of blue in the sea and sky. trying to keep the focus sharp on the whole scene was a challenge but I was pleased with the finished result. In all I took over thirty images from various angles and locations, but this was the best. This image gained a PSA Gold in the Travel Section of the Gradient Circuit, 2025-1918.

Technical info: Aptos, 12 Styles Camera Z6-2, f/11, Focal length 37mm, Manual, 1/320, Auto ISO, tripod. Post processing in LR and PS.
