Basic Principles for all WPF sponsored competitions revised 2010

These are to be read in conjunction with the conditions of entry for all individual W.P.F. competitions.

Presentation

Prints

Prints must be mounted: the dimension of the mount must be 50 cm. x 40 cm.
The old standard 20in x 16in. can no longer be accepted as they will not fit the new WPF exhibition frames.

The copyright of the whole image must be held by the entrant.

Digital Projected Images

Digital Projected Images must be in JPG format with a maximum width of 1400 pixels and a maximum height of 1050 pixels

Members with Dual Membership

Members with dual membership (being members of more than one club) may submit work for selection to all clubs of which they are members for a competition. However, it is to be expected that these members, in submitting work to more than one club, will submit work of a different subject matter to each club.

Packing of entries

Clubs must ensure that entries are suitably packaged to protect them from damage in transit.

Loss or Damage

Whilst every possible care will be taken of entries whilst in the care of the Federation, the Federation cannot be held responsible for loss or damage.

Tenure

Winning clubs will hold a Trophy for no more than one year.
All trophies must be returned to Competition and Salon organisers no later than the closing date of the next years competition.

Amendment of rules

The Executive Committee may amend these rules annually
