Llanelli Photographic Society are holding their first exhibition since 2019, and it’s being held on 3/4th November at the St Elli Centre, Llanelli.
Prints will be on show representing the work of members as well as some from a recent Social Competition entered by members of the public around Llanelli.
The prints will be judged by a lecturer from ‘Coleg Sir Gar’ which represents students doing a Photography course.
Members will be on hand to answer any questions and the prints will also be voted on by the public for the popular vote.
Ron Lines recently published some advice in the WPF Facebook Group for any WPF members thinking about going for any of the FIAP Distinctions so we thought we’d reproduce it here.
Does anyone have a completed FIAP distinction application? I’ll be closing the books for this year’s applications soon.

This year Rhondda Camera Club is celebrating its 80th Anniversary.
They have kicked off their celebrations with an exhibition at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital canteen. They are hoping it’ll be there for 2 to 3 months.
If you are interested you can pop in and take a look whilst having a cuppa.
Some good news; following on from our PAGB Exhibition in the Quadrant Shopping Centre in Swansea, Urban Foundry (who arranged the Swansea exhibition) have now organised a space for us to hold an Exhibition in Bridgend Indoor Market from January to March.
We intend to use the 50 best prints from the Memorial Trophy Competition to hang at this venue for February and March. In January we will use the space for an ad-hoc exhibition. This will bring our Federation, its photographers and their images to a new audience.
We will also be looking at the practicality of displaying the PDIs from this event on a monitor at the same time – but details need checking.
Please find below links to the spreadsheet showing all the scores (out of 15) achieved by WPF club members in the recent PAGB Inter-Federation Competition. The WPF entries were chosen and collated by our President, Jenny Hibbert – thanks Jenny!
