Hi Folks,
About 60 people turned up to see this event at Bridgend Camera Club and I’m sure that they all enjoyed the day – I guess the winners enjoyed it the most though! I want to express my thanks to Bridgend for hosting the event and looking after us all so well, shame it was such a sunny day – unusual in that part of Wales! ;>))
I also need to thank all those members of the WPF Executive for their assistance and encouragement through the day without that it might have got a little fraught! I understand that Ron Lines has a hospital appointment to try and fix his bout of dropsy during the print handling – I’m assured that no harm was caused to any member of the audience or the prints!!! Thanks!
But finally I have to thank Sue O’Connell and Peter Brisley for their excellent judging and comments and for the efficient way that they managed the day – I had originally indicated that last year we had 7 Clubs attending so the suggestion was that they would be looking at 56 individual entries and 7 sets of 4 prints. However this year the Memorial day has taken off and we had up to 18 Club taking part which meant that they had almost treble the work to contend with – that they did it so well and with such good humour made the day – Thank you both!
